French by Ear – フランス語の聞き取りest un podcast pour les courageux (ou fous ? 😊) qui apprennent le français, au Japon, en France ou ailleurs.
J’ai étudié plusieurs langues dans ma vie et j’ai remarqué une chose : la compréhension orale est l’exercice le plus dur et, par conséquence, celui qui vous fait le plus progresser. Le podcast est donc un des meilleurs outils pour apprendre une langue.
Mon but avec ce podcast est de vous aider à mieux comprendre le français tout en vous amusant. Et en m’amusant moi aussi !
Mon podcast s’adresse aux personnes de niveau pré intermédiaire à intermédiaire (A2+ -> C1).
De novembre 2022 à janvier 2024, j’ai fait un podcast niveau « débutant » (A1+, A2) un peu plus facile. Les archives de ces podcast débutants sont disponibles ici.

中級・上級者レベル（A2+-Ｃ1) のポッドキャストです。
私はこれまでいくつかの言葉を学んできて、あることに気づきました。それは聞き取りはとても難しいエクササイズであり、だからこそ、これを攻略すれば大きく進歩できるということを。
つまりポッドキャストは、聞き取る力を上げて言葉を学ぶのに、とても良いツールです。
このポッドキャストでは、楽しみながらフランス語を聞き取る力を磨くことをサポートします。
私も楽しみたいと思います！

French by Ear – フランス語の聞き取りis a podcast for the brave ones (or crazy ones😊?) who learn French, in Japan, in France or anywhere else.
I have studied several languages in my life so far and have noticed one thing: listening comprehension is the hardest exercise, and therefore, the one that makes you most progress.
This makes podcasts one of the best tools to learn a language. With my podcast, I want to help you to better understand spoken French while trying to entertain you. And I want to have fun too!
My podcast is aimed at students with a pre-intermediate to intermediate level (A2+ -> C1).
From November 2022 to January 2024, I have made an easier version of the podcast for « beginners » (A1+, A2). These episodes are still available here.
Je m’appelle Pierre-Marie. Je suis né à Lyon il y a un peu plus de 50 ans. Après mes études en école de commerce, j’ai travaillé plus de vingt ans dans la presse à Paris.
En 2016, en marchant les 1200 kilomètres du chemin des 88 temples à Shinkoku, je rencontre par hasard ma future femme. En 2017-2018, avant de m’installer au Japon, je me forme à l’enseignement du français comme langue étrangère à l’Alliance Française de Paris.
Fin 2019, je rejoins ma femme et nous nous installons à Setagaya où je partage mon temps entre l’enseignement du français (cours privés, salons de conversation dans une école de Tokyo) et le journalisme en free-lance.
J’adore étudier les langues. Je parle anglais couramment, japonais relativement bien, un peu allemand et mon « itaňol » me permet de me débrouiller en Espagne et en Italie 😊.
À part ça, j’aime aussi écouter de la musique, lire, écrire, randonner, cuisiner (de temps en temps), manger (plus souvent), etc.
Aux choses carrées de la vie, je préfère les rondes comme par exemple les disques vinyle, les ballons de foot, les 蜜柑 (mikan, mandarines japonaises), les camemberts, les tartes au citron ou les bouteilles de vin rouge par exemple.

私はフランス・リヨン出身のピエールマリー、50歳を超えたところです。ビジネススクール卒業後、パリの出版社で20年以上働いていました。
2016年、四国八十八箇所の遍路道を1200キロ歩いた時、縁あって今の妻と出会いました。2018年、日本への移住準備のため、パリのアリアンスフランセーズでフランス語教師養成講座を受講し、教師資格を取得しました。
2019年の終わりから東京・世田谷での生活をスタートさせ、フランス語教師として個人授業やフランス語学校での会話レッスンを行うとともに、フリーランスのジャーナリスト・編集者として活動しています。
私は外国語を勉強することが大好きです。英語はネイティブレベル、日本語は日常会話レベル、ドイツ語は少し話せます。また、スペインとイタリアでなんとか通じる「イタニョル」を話すこともできます😊。
他に、音楽を聴くこと、読書、書くこと、ハイキング、料理（ときどき）、食べること（主にこちら）等々が大好きです。
そして、人生を四角く考えて生きるよりも、丸く楽しく生きるタイプで、音楽のレコード、サッカーボール⚽、みかん🍊、カマンベールチーズ、レモンパイ🍋、赤ワインのボトル等々丸いものが大好きです。

My name is Pierre-Marie. I was born in Lyon a bit more than 50 years ago. After graduating from a business school, I worked for over 20 years in the publishing sector in Paris.
In 2016, while I was walking the 1,200 kilometers of the 88-temple pilgrimage in Shikoku, I met my future wife by accident. In 2018, preparing for my life in Japan, I graduated from the 6-month French teachers’ training program of the Alliance Française de Paris.
At the end of 2019, I moved to Japan and my wife and I settled in Setagaya, where I share my time between French teaching (private lessons, group conversations at a Tokyo school) and free-lance journalism.
I love to study foreign languages. I’m fluent in English, speak Japanese relatively well and a little German. I can also get by with my « itaňol » anywhere in Spain and Italy 😊.
Aside from that, I love to listen to music, read, write, hike, cook (from time to time), eat (more often) and many other things.
To the square things in life, I prefer the rounded ones such as vinyl records, foot balls, 蜜柑 (mikan, Japanese mandarins), camembert cheeses, lemon pies or bottles of red wine for example.
